Clearwater Beach, FL

Clearwater Beach Sunset

We’ve been to Clearwater a number of times and every time it has been a BLAST! When we travel to Tampa we usually stay at our grandparent’s condo which is located right on Clearwater Beach FL. If there is one thing we can take away from our stays in Clearwater it would hands down be the beautiful sunsets we experience every night. There really isn’t anything more stunning…except Zach of course!

PLAY.

While in Clearwater you obviously need to check out the BEACH! The water is crisp blue and as calm as can be. The sun can be blazing hot so make sure to wear your flippies on the sand! While on the beach there is an array of activities to choose from. Beach volleyball to jetski rentals or even parasailing are the main attractions. We didn’t participate in any of those activities because all we were interested in doing was relaxing and soaking up the sun.

Kai Lani Catamaran Sunset Cruise

EVERYONE needs to go on the Kai Lani Catamaran sunset catamaran cruise. It is the best way to experience the gorgeous sunset with a cool drink in hand and blissful music playing. It only lasts about an hour and takes you all along the coast, beer and wine are served and it was only $50 for the both of us! Perfect for families, couples, and friends. The crew members were extremely accommodating and really made our trip enjoyable.

For a fun night out (21 & Up only) check out Shepards. We went for the first time with our friends one summer and WOW! The bar/club is attached to one of the resorts on the coast so you just get banded and walk to the back. They have 4 bar areas, two inside and two outside. Drinks are regularly priced ($7 and up). The main attraction is the stage that is right off the ocean! They usually have a band that plays throwback music and also a DJ. They have a huge projector on the back of the stage that plays the music videos in the background. The bar flows right to a small beach front area where you can dance on the beach while watching the band play. 10/10 in our experience book. The indoor area appeals to more of a club scene, with techno music and longing couches. This bar fits all personalities and definitely gives you a night to remember…or forget ;) Shepards is a short uber ride from the heart of Clearwater or a 10min walk.

Tropicana Field. Home of the Tampa Bay Rays!

Take me out to the ball game... ! Visit the Tropicana Field to catch the Tampa Bay Rays hit some home runs. They were having a bad season when we went to see them so tickets were cheap and we took advantage! My favorite part about this field is that it is indoors aka air condition which is heavenly when it comes to living in the Florida heat. We had so much fun at the game, and OH they have a sting ray aquarium where you can pet the sting rays for free! We didn't get to it, but it seamed neat.

EAT.

Frenchy's Fish Spread

For lunch & dinner we stop by one of the many and famous Frenchy's restaurants…I kid you not they have the best fish spread and grouper that have ever touch our taste buds. Frenchy's is really a family tradition and everyone knows that if you’re in Clearwater you need to stop by Frenchy's. Zach and I always start with their smoky fish spread which cannot be duplicated (trust me I’ve tried) and we also get the buffalo grouper sandwich. I am currently salivating just thinking about it, words can’t explain the flavor punch this meal gives you.

One morning we went to brunch at Clear Sky Cafe. The best part of this brunch was the build your own Bloody Mary Bar!!!! I love a good bloody Mary but Zach thinks I’m drinking condiments in a cup LOL so he sticks to his mimosas. They have you buy the glass of vodka from the bar and then you take it over to the mix station where they have all the garnishes you can think of!

Clearwater Beach holds many fantastic memories. It is an easy must visit destination for any and all Floridians. #FLVacation

Your turn! If you've been to Clearwater comment your favorite part!
